Covid struck in 2020 just after I returned from my trip to Nicaragua, at the end of February. Shortly after this I had an endoscopy, then later an Xray and in May started treatment for metastatic breast cancer. Owing to a reduced immune system, I had to live a very restricted lifestyle.
But in October 2020 I began a new life with someone from the Western Isles. We were not to meet in person until May2021. In October I felt brave enough to begin travelling to the islands from Southampton, on a small plane with Logan air. I have now done this many times and am about to embark on a new life, beginning there on North Uist but planning to settle near Inverness. This year, together we have had two short breaks, to Northern Spain and to Paris. But I hope my adventures will begin again before too long. Most posts are now done on Facebook though!
