Final moments

Yesterday was a bit sad with lots of hugs and goodbyes. Everyone wanted to know when I will be back. Jennifer is the administrator and has been so wonderful!

Only one of this group is staying on and she (Marika) is working at a local hotel.

In the afternoon work gave me a gift and a little tea, very kind. Today I visited again as Maria Elena had to go early yesterday and I didn't see her to say farewell.

Today I have had a lovely walk to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and back. It was about 8 km in total. The weather is beautiful, like a lovely summer's day in England with a little breeze. I had some lovely views and saw many beautiful flowers , butterflies and birds and a dead snake! Unfortunately, although I waited none of the butterflies would settle once I got my camera ready. But I think I saw Anteus and Doris Longwing butterflies and a Rufous naped wren.
I visited the Hummingbird gallery that I remember going to before, which as its name suggests has many hummingbirds, but I also saw them feeding on the hedgerow flowers. I stopped for a coffee and ' pudin de maiz', and interestingly on the way home saw a man drying his maize outside his house so I stopped and had a chat.
And I made another friend who walked nearly all the way with me!
All packed up and ready for the next adventure....................
